Sudden move!

The last few days blogger has made me go absolutely crazy and tonight I suddenly decided to move this hole thing over to Wordpress. Everything has been imported to there, and I hope you'll continue following me there!

If you do, thank you so much for your support! The blog is still looking a bit boring over there, but I will be tweaking around with it the following days. I'm already enjoying Wordpress a lot. See you over there!

Challenge outfit 1/7

First challenge outfit coming up! This is how I look today.
2+7+9
So, I'm wearing a Baby, the Stars Shine Bright skirt, Fan+Friend blouse and Monki shoes.

10 items - 7 outfits challenge!

A challenge that was posted by livejournal user Raydance was chosen to be the monthly theme of the lolita community egl in February. The sparking post can be read here. The idea was taken from magazines such as Kera, that sometimes do things like this.

The point of the challenge is to pick out ten items in your wardrobe (things like accessories and socks do not count) and combine seven outfits or coordinations out of these items. I thought this would be lots of fun so I tookup the challenge.

These will be my ten items:

1)
Alice & the Pirates
Beardsley Rose Alice skirt

2)
Baby the Stars Shine Bright
(What's the name of this one?)

3)
Bodyline
Rose jumperskirt

4)
Dear Celine
Bolero

5)
H&M + handmade
Modified sweater

6)
Baby the Stars Shine Bright
Shortsleeved cutsew

7)
Fan + Friend
Black blouse

8)
Anna House
White blouse

9)
Monki
High heeled ankle boots
10)
Inherited leather boots

I had a quite limited shoe selection as it's all icy and very slippert outside due to the temperature being around zero a lot, but this is what I'll go with! I'm starting this off today so my first coordinate post will possibly show up later today or tomorrow!

A quick visit to Tallinn

Last weekend I spent with my relatives in Tallinn, celebrating my grandfather's 75th birthday! We took the ferry over and spent one night at a spa. It was quite relaxing and nice, and a few small things found their way into my life.

My dad bought me Marc Jacobs' Daisy, that I have wanted for a very long time. I'm really happy to now have it in my possession. Ah, the wonders of Tax Free.

In Tallinn my eyes happened to catch sight of MAC's Venomous Villains still in store! They've been pretty much sold out in Helsinki for quite a while and I never managed to convince myself to get any before that happened. So, now in Tallinn, I made my first MAC purchase ever and bought one of the powders! ...I doubt it will be my last one though, I am in love.

And on the way back I found Brittney's Hidden Fantasy on 50% off, and as that is a perfume I've liked and wanted as well i just couldn't resist it.

Bonus, a picture of my little accessory and perfume table~

Ich bin blau

To start off the new semester the Finnish history organization at Helsinki University organized a party with the theme "blue" last Thursday. If dressed accordingly to the theme there was no entrance fee, so of course me and Tiia had to go all the way with it. Here are some picture. ♥

We have matching shoes from Monki!

Smurf!

Despite what the pictures show there were lots of people there. I took most pictures before it started getting more lively. It was a really fun night, sadly we had to leave quite early due to lectures the next morning.

A late christmas present

Got these in the mail last week! They're from my very dear friend Megan in Australia and I couldn't be happier. They're absolutely perfect, and better yet; They fit me perfectly! Loveat first sight is all I can say. Can't wait to get to wear them!

Porvoo Borgå

Welcome to Porvoo/Borgå, my hometown. It's a small town a little to the east from Helsinki and it got official town's rights in 1346. This makes it the second oldest town in Finland. However, people have lived at this location for much longer than that.

Porvoo (Borgå in Swedish) has an old town that can't be compared to many things. It burned the last time inthe 18th century, which makes the tree houses among the oldest in Finland. The last time it burned the people had to hurry with rebuilding it, because the Swedish king was going to visit. The result is wonky houses, and since the king loved colours the houses were painted in different bright and pastel colours.

The church in Porvoo is also quite the attraction. Despite being built 1200-1400 it is also the location of the Diet of Porvoo in 1809, when Finland became a part of Russia (the Grand Duchy of Finland), leaving the long history as Sweden behind.
Me and Christel left some marks behind at the drawing table for children at the back of the church.

And last but not least, me and Christel outside of the Church gates.

Christel in Finland

My friend Christel in Stockholm came to visit me for a few days at the end of last week. We last saw each other when I visited Stockholm a little over a month ago. It's always just as fun to see her and I can't wait for the next time!
This picture was taken on the bus to Porvoo from Helsinki. We were going touristing over there. I'll show you some pictures in my next post!

Back to school

Spent last Wednesday with great friends from my old school and I had to dress up a little for the occassion. I've posted this same outfit earlier but I like it a lot, and this is a much better picture. Sadly I ended up with quite the showing petti, but oh well.

The JSK is from Bodyline and the cardigan is from H&M.

My dear friend Tiia and me.

We visited the school and had lots of fun there. Then we spent the whole afternoon in my apartment, eating mudcake and singing singstar. We were almost ten people in my tiny apartment. After that we headed to the schools sauna where we spent rest of the night partying. Such a nostalgic day!

Sukiyaki

Today I saw my good exhange friend Mirka again for the first time in way too long. We usually cook something Japanese when we see each other and talk about nostalgic memories from our time in Kansai in 2007. Because of new year's having just passed we thought a nabe would be the thing.
