My 2010

The year is coming to its end again. It's almost unbelievable how fast the years go by nowadays. It feels like it was only a little whike ago I celebrated new years with my friends. Now it's gonna be 2011 in a few days. There is so much I'm looking forward to with next year, I'm sure it will be a good year!

Now I'm going to take you on a little trip through my 2010.

January
I saw my friend Kertu for the first time in Estonia.

February
I cosplayed Finland for the first time.

March
I went on a trip to Thailand with my family.

April
I visited Christel and Hedvig in Sweden.

May
I went to London and had the time of my life.

June
I celebrated midsummer with Betsi and Nenne.

July
I went to Japan again with the bestest of friends.

August
I spent time with likeminded friends.

September
I attended Animatsuri in Estonia.
This month also brought other surprises.

October
I saw Lady Gaga live from the first row.

November
I had a wonderful weekend with Sofia and Adam Lambert.

December
I saw Christel in Stockholm.

So many more great things happened, and I wish I could've posted the all. But I decided to stick to one picture per month, and in the months with many alternatives the prettiest picture won.

Merry Christmas!

In the Nordic countries it's Christmas Eve that's celebrated, so today is the day for me! Merry Christmas everyone!

Sandra + Emmi

My friend Emmi (who's blog can be read here) stayed over for a few nights. I hadn't seen her for such a long while and it was so much fun! Me and Emmi have a lot of things in common, even outside of lolita and it feels nice to talk about all that together.

On Tuesday we went walking around downtown with my camera. It's funny how sometimes you get no comments when you wear lolita, and sometimes there's lots of them. Yesterday was defintely one of those days. Some santa-dressed woman even wanted us to participate in a parade. :'D

First some pictures from outside in the snow! There's so much snow already, and we're getting more and more all the time. the whole country will probably be a big snowpile before spring comes.

And then a couple of pictures of Emmi. She's so cute!

Then we moved our frilly butts into Kamppi shopping center and found somewhere to take pictures.

And then one of Emmi again!

Christmas is in two days! I'm not all that excited yet, but I'm sure it will reach me soon! I still have to work all day tomorrow, and that surely pulls down on my excitement a lot. But Merry Christmas everyone! :)

New camera!

It was my birthday last week, on the 16th. I've turned 21 now and it feels a little weird. On Friday I my friends had organized a small party for me and it was so much fun!
My parents gave me a camera for my birthday and I already love it very much. I've been wanting a real one for quite a while, so I'm very happy.

On Satursday I went to a christmas party which I had to find a nice dress for, since there was a dresscode. Aaaand shopping I went.
The socks are kind of irrelevant, but I found them on my hunt for suitable thights in Lindex and instantly fell in love with them. The dress is from Vila and was picked out with some help from my girlfriend over picture messages. This one won over a black, more simple one. The bracelets are from H&M and the headband from Monki.

Just a few days left till Christmas now! I still have so many presents to buy...; I'll have to go shopping for them tomorrow!

Shopping in Sweden

First I'm going to show you a random picture from how I looked a couple of weeks back, Wednesday the 17th of November. I've become really bad at taking pictures of what i wear, but as soon as I have a better camera in my hands there will be more of those again.

The dress is from Bodyline and the cardigan is H&M.

Then, last Saturday (the 4th of December) I headed off to Sweden with Viking Line, to spend some time with my friend Christel. I spent the time on the ferry with my parents and our family friends. Then once in Stockholm on the 5th me and Christel walked around shopping for quite a while.
A picture of me and Christel in the Tunnelbana. (metro)

We bought some "burned almonds" on Hötorget. One of the things I really wish we had in Finland. You can get them in both Sweden and Estonia, but for some reason not over here. It's just almonds fried in some sweet substance and they're so tasty. I love them!
As the history freak I am I of course have to use the chance of buying books in Swedish. Of course we have books avaible here too, but the selection is naturally wider in Sweden, and due to a smaller book tax they're cheaper too.

These are a pair of shoes i've been wanting for a while. They're from Monki, which we nowadays have in Finland too, but my size was sold out in both stores here. So, I'm really happy I could find a pair in one of the stores in Stockholm!

From Indiska I got a pair of cozy over knee woollen socks and a cute dress that was on sale:

Many of my friends have been going on about the store "bikbok", but I have never actually been to one before. Now I decided to check out the one on Drottninggatan and I was pleasantly surprised! So many pretty clothes! I ended up just buying a shirt though, but I've been wanting an offwhite simple blouse for quite a while. So this is just perfect! It's missing a button though, so I got 20% off from it.

Another buy I am very very happy for is this pair of overknee boots from DinSko. I've been craving a pair for so long and now I even had a fake reason to buy a pair, as I need them for a cosplay next year. So when i found this perfect pair on sale I was lost and well, now they're mine.

Do I have to mention we got our extra taxes back on Friday? : D

Yesterday was Finland's independence day, which i celebrated by watching the ball on a tiny TV in a Viking Line cabin with some Blueberry Koskenkorva. It was very nice, actually. Happy late Birthday, dear fatherland. <3

Return & GLAM

It has been quite a while since I posted here the last time. But now I'm thinking of picking up blogging here again. The the mrange might be a little bigger this time, but this will still mainly be about fashion and what inspires me.

This time I bring some photos from almost a month back, when I went to see Adam Lambert live here in Helsinki. Of course the occassion required some dressing up.

My dress and leggings are from Gina Tricot and the shoes are Monki. The shoes have really become my favorite pair, I wear them with almost anything, including lolita. They are really comfortable despite their height, and I don't think it looks bad even if you wear socks with them.

The other important person of this weekend was Sofia, one of my absolute best friends who I hadn't seen for four whole months. I was so excited, and it was really worth it!

Post-Glambert beauty in DTM.

Hopefully it won't be long until my next post here! I doubt it will. : )

Before the snow came

Back in December, more exactly the 12th of December, i attended a lolita meetup in Helsinki. These are the pictures I took there. It was a great meetup and I'm looking forward to more meetups like this one!
